The FCP HP-UX Host Utilities 4.0 is a host-software-based product that delivers tools and documentation to support the integration of NetApp FCP storage systems with HP HP-UX host environments using PA-RISC or Itanium server platforms and either HP native multipathing (PVLinks), volume management (LVM) and file system, or Veritas Storage Foundation and Veritas Cluster Server. The FCP HP-UX Host Utilities 4.0 is required to ensure proper configuration and support of NetApp FCP storage systems, and consists of:

·         The sanlun software tool to view paths to LUNs configured on NetApp storage systems.

·         Management script for configuring paths used by HP PVLinks multipathing.

·         Diagnostic scripts for collecting and reporting host (OS, HBA, Veritas), switch, and NetApp storage configuration information.

·         Documentation describing how to configure an HP-UX-host-based FCP connection to a NetApp storage system, including commands and procedures.

Note: The FCP HP-UX Host Utilities 4.0 does not include HBA drivers, which should be obtained from the HP IT Resource Center at http://software.hp.com.

Note: The FCP HP-UX Host Utilities 4.0 is a software-based product and does not include an FC HBA.
